New York, 31 May 2012 – The WORLDCOM Public Relations Group (Worldcom) partnership announced today the appointment of its newly elected global board of directors for the 2012 – 2013 term.
Established in 1988, Worldcom is comprised of 108 firms, in 96 markets, across six continents, and is led by a Group Board and three Regional Boards in the Americas, Europe/Middle East/Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific (AP. Worldcom partner firms occupy leadership positions in the world’s major public relations professional organizations and business communities, globally.
Newly elected Chair of Worldcom Public Relations Group, Corinna Voss, of HBI Helga Bailey GmbH, said, “We’re proud to have leaders of the top independent agencies around the world serving on our Group Board of Directors. Individually, they’re among the best in the field, and collectively, they are part of a global partnership that supports the communication and marketing needs of local, regional and international corporations, offering companies a global reach.”
In addition to Corinna Voss, the newly elected members of the Group Board of Directors include: Chair-elect/Strategic Plan: Stephanie Paul of Philips Group, Brisbane, Australia; Past Chair: Matt Kucharski, APR, of Padilla Speer Beardsley, Inc., Minneapolis; Vice Chair EMEA Region: Imma Folch-Lazaro of LF Channel, Barcelona; Secretary/Treasurer: Marie-Josée Gagnon of CASACOM, Montreal; Partner Recruitment: Patrik Schober of PRAM Consulting, Prague, Czech Republic; and Digital: Elizabeth Sosnow of Bliss PR, New York.
Board members continuing their terms or elected to additional terms of office include: Vice Chair Americas Region: Dorothy Pirovano, APR, of Public Communications Inc., Chicago; Vice Chair Asia Pacific Region: Cindy Payne of Asia Pacific Connections, Singapore; Next Generation Staffing, Hal Dash of Cerrell Associates; Los Angeles; Marketing: Noemi Pollack, The Pollack PR Marketing Group, Los Angeles; Peer Review: Francie Israeli, John Adams Associates, Washington DC; and Knowledge Sharing: Mae Maneekulpan, TQPR Thailand, Bangkok.
Worldcom firms, with a total of 2,000 employees, have combined revenues of $227.5 million. Worldcom partners, sharing business referrals among the firms, totaled nearly US $3.1 million in 2011, representative of 68 Worldcom partners, involved in shared clients, worldwide. Additionally, 105 client companies reported working with multiple Worldcom partners last year, and 3,262 outside companies worked with all Worldcom partners.
Voss welcomed several new partners: Dix & Eaton, Cleveland, Ohio; COM&SENSE, Tel Aviv, Israel; Lange 360, South Africa; McDougall Travers Collins, Rochester, New York; and Oxenstierna & Partners AB, Stockholm, Sweden.
