Jakarta, December 12th 2012 – Citilink, the subsidiary company of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk., for low cost carrier service (LCC), today celebrated an event of appreciation for its media partners, especially journalists and photographers, for their ceaseless contribution in supporting Citilink’s growth in 2012. The event was dubbed “Citilink Journalist Award” ceremony, held in Upper Room, Annex Building 12th Floor, Jalan M.H Thamrin Jakarta.
Citilink Journalist Award is a Citilink’s first event of appreciation dedicated to media partners for their support for Citilink in the past year. The event was preceded by a year-long competition in two categories, namely writing contest and photo contest.
During 2012, the event committee has tacked and compiled every article about Citilink in either print or online media. Journalists and photographer may also send their written works or photographs to the committee. All of the compiled works were divided into 7 scoring category for Writing Contest, such as Best Idea, Best Narrative Content, Best Headline, Best Hard News, Best Craftsmanship, Best Business Feature and Best Lifestyle Feature; and 4 categories for Photo Contest, namely News Category for print media, News category for online media, Lifestyle Category for print media, and Lifestyle category for online media. On each category there will be two selected winners going home with a gold and silver trophy respectively.
In assessing the 11 categories (7 for writing and 4 for photos), Citilink is assisted by a board of jury comprised of 8 highly credible experts, practitioners, and professionals in the field of journalism and photography, for instance Arbain Rambey, Oscar Motulloh, Robby Agus, Ninok Leksono, Wicaksono (more widely known as Ndorokakung), Enda Nasution, Eko Maryadi, and Benny Siga Butar Butar. Citilink entrusted the whole part of judging process to them. “Citilink has no involvement whatsoever to ensure objectivity, transparency, and prejudice,” said Aristo Kristandyo, VP Marketing & Communications PT. During the course of Citilink Journalist Award, Citilink also performed a MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) signing for the cooperation with Agoda.com, Asia’s leading and fastest hotel booking online service portal. The booking service from Agoda.com will be included in Citilink’s newest service features, called Citilink Hotels, accessible through www.citilink.co.id. “This cooperation enables Citilink to provide even more thorough service facility to fulfill the traveling needs of Citilink’s passengers, from flight tickets to hotel booking and some other tourism service, all in one website, www.citilink.co.id,” Aristo explianed.
This cooperation between Citilink and Agoda in creating Citilink Hotels is one of the evidence of how the airline is committed to provide the best service for its customers. As a further evidence of Citilink’s success in boosting its service commitment, the company has achieved multiple awards, namely Indonesia Travel and Tourism Foundation for Leading Low Cost Airline 2011/2012 category, Best Overall Marketing Campaign category in The Budgies and Travel Awards 2012 and the latest one, Service To Care Award 2012 for Airlines category from Markplus Insight, and the latest include The Best National Airline for Transportation category in Adikarya Wisata Award 2012.
