The 6th Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) 2014, Indonesia is now open for nomination. Organized by Enterprise Asia, this annual event seeks to recognize Asia’s outstanding and most deserving entrepreneurs. The two main categories that are open for nomination are Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award and Outstanding Entrepreneurship Award.
There are also special categories such as Lifetime Achievement Award, Entrepreneur of The Year, Woman Entrepreneur of The Year and Young Entrepreneur of The Year that will be strictly by invitation only. “As we champion our mission in developing and promoting entrepreneurship in Asia, it is our hope that the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) program, one of our eminent initiatives in the region will be able to recognize, advocate and promote the importance of responsible entrepreneurship amongst entrepreneurs and the general public,” said Tan Sri Dr Fong Chan Onn, former Malaysian Minister of Human Resources that serves as the Chairman of Enterprise Asia.
Nomination process will starts by filling up the APEA official nomination form. This form should be completed with the entrepreneur’s profile and the company profile. The jury panel consists of renowned figures including academician, politician and industry expert from various backgrounds. The International Advisory Council will decide on the winners after the judging process.
Some of the criteria in the judging process are evident business growth, market competitiveness, innovation of products and services, technology advancement, practice of responsible entrepreneurship, leadership qualities and entrepreneurial spirit, also local and global business impact. One of the main benefits of joining the regional award recognition program such as APEA is to leverage on Asia’s largest network of entrepreneurs through all the networking events, forums and conferences organized by Enterprise Asia.
Besides that, the APEA also provide the platform for employees’ motivation, reinforce investor’s confidence and inspire customer/public trust. Some of the Past Winners of APEA for the Indonesia chapter includes HM Aksa Mahmud (Bosowa Corporation, Founder) – Lifetime Achievement Award 2013, Hary Tanoesoedibjo (MNC Group, CEO) –Entrepreneur of The Year 2010, Chairul Tanjung (CT Corp, Founder) – Entrepreneur Of The Year 2009 Dr Mochtar Riady, Founder of Lippo Group-Lifetime Achievement Award 2009.
