Citilink Now Soaring above Padang Sky

Jakarta, November 23rd 2012 – Citilink, the subsidiary company of PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk., for low cost carrier service (LCC), today proudly announced the opening of Jakarta – Padang roundtrip route from CGK – PDG 1 time daily, at 17.00, and PDG – CGK at 19.25 daily. The route started its operation from November 23rd 2012.

The city of Padang has become the center of economic activity due to its highest rate of gross domestic product in West Sumatera. It also has highly potential tourism sites. Some even have been widely known, such as Bukittinggi, Maninjau, Batusangkar, and other regions in the province. In addition, Padang also becomes the center of education and healthcare since it has the most number of universities and healthcare facilities compared to any other city or residence in West Sumatera.

By connecting Jakarta and Padang, Citilink hopes to help increase investment and economic condition in Padang. “Investment rate in Padang is escalating so passionately at the moment, especially since the issuance of Perda (Regional Regulations) regarding zero cost policy for investment activities which lately has reached 1 billion rupiahs. On this year’s ASITA Travel Fair, Citilink offers promotional fares to Padang and for 16 other Citilink flight routes, during the period of Februari to April 2013, and for purchases from November 23rd to 25th 2012. Customers can only get the promotional fare during the course of the event, and cannot be purchased through website or call centers.
