August 16th, 2017, Siam Cement Group (SCG) held the “Sharing the Dream” scholarship program for high achiever students as a form of their Corporate Social Responsibility. This event was held in Sukabumi.
Quoting Nantapong Chantrakul Country Director of SCG Indonesia, SCG continues to strengthen its concern regarding the importance of education in bringing a better life and in supporting Indonesia’s sustainable development. This year, Sukabumi became the priority area with the largest number of scholarship recipients. 150 students from Sukabumi were chosen from a total of 400 recipients from other areas such as Jakarta, Bogor, Cileungsi, Karawang, Tangerang Selatan, and Bayah.
Triyo Saputra as the Senior Account Manager of Fortune PR who handled this event said “SCG Indonesia clearly understood the point of giving scholarship is not only to make the students smart. SCG also wanted them to make a contribution so they can improve the lives of their communities. This goes in line with SCG’s mission in building a better and more quality living for everyone.”
